Batesburg-Leesville Named One of the Safest & Most Peaceful Places to Live in SC

Out of more than 270 municipalities in the state, the Town of Batesburg-Leesville was recently selected as the ninth safest and most peaceful place to live in South Carolina, according to Only in Your State.

Town Manager Ted Luckadoo stated, “We are excited by this recognition because our town is not only safe and peaceful, it is also one of the fastest growing municipalities in Lexington County. Our low crime rates are just one of the things that makes Batesburg-Leesville a great community for families and businesses!”

The Only in Your State list consists of South Carolina’s top ten safest and most peaceful towns out of over 200 cities and towns statewide. These towns are ranked based on assaults, burglaries, and violent crime rates. A high ranking, such as Batesburg-Leesville’s, indicates that a town has low crime rates across multiple categories.
