Our bike patrol is used to help control the crowds that come in for the SC Poultry Festival each year. They also are used to check in the parks during the summer months as well as the wooded paths that surround several areas of the town. In order to qualify for the bike patrol an officer must prove that they have the ability to ride a bike for at least 20 miles without raising their heart rate past an acceptable normal rate. They must also be able to perform their normal duties after completing the ride.
