Prior to consolidation, Batesburg (with its corresponding ZIP Code 29006) was served by one Post Office, and Leesville (29070) was served by another. In 1997, the Post Office began construction on a new centrally located facility on Church Street. The new and recently completed 45,000-square-foot Batesburg-Leesville Post Office is now serving over 30,000 postal patrons in the combined 29006 and 29070 ZIP code areas, with both city and rural route delivery and new post office boxes to meet the needs of the growing community.
