The Town of Batesburg-Leesville is excited to announce that this year’s Town Egg Hunt will take place Thursday, March 29th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in Leesville College Park.

Planned festivities include music, games, face painting, egg races, and more. A balloon artist will also be on hand to create amazing animals and other objects for kids. Fire trucks and other town equipment will be on display for the event. The Town’s Rotary clubs are planning to attend and provide free books to children as part of their reading initiatives.

The egg hunt portion of the evening will begin at 6pm with three separate hunts in the park. The Town is prepping more than 2,000 eggs for this year’s hunt. Children ages 0 to 3 will hunt starting at 6pm next to Haynes Cafeteria, while hunters aged 4-6 and 7-10 will be near the outdoor stage. The older hunt groups will hunt starting at 6:15pm. Candy will be available to all participants and a few luck hunters will win prizes.

In addition to these activities, the Town is hosting its first ever Food Truck Rodeo – so bring your wallet and an appetite! Confirmed vendors include Dippin’Dogs, Karen’s Mobile Kitchen, The Pop Stop (ice cream), and Coffee Stop Wine Shop (no alcohol). Menus and prices are available on the Town’s website and Facebook page.
