ABOUT THE TOWN OF BATESBURG-LEESVILLE

The Town of Batesburg-Leesville, located in Lexington and Saluda Counties, covers 7.7 square miles in the midlands area of South Carolina. Batesburg-Leesville is a growing community of 5,600 residents and 400+ businesses, which encompasses a unique blend of history, modern business growth, and recreation that is sure to make living and working in Batesburg-Leesville a wonderful experience. Located close to I-20, the new expansion of Highway 1 to a four lane highway, and with Norfolk Southern Railroad running through town, Batesburg-Leesville offers convenient transportation options for goods and services.

COMMERCIAL CORRIDORS AND PROPERTIES

Town Center Square

Conveniently located between the Batesburg and Leesville districts in the center of Batesburg-Leesville, Town Center Square has experience substantial commercial growth over the past decade. Previously this area served as home to only a couple businesses, now this area is the largest commercial area in town. With Walmart serving as the centerpiece of this area, other businesses have followed along, such as, Zaxby’s, Sonic, Bojangles, Hibbett Sports, Waffle House, Cato’s Fashions, among many other businesses.

Viable parcels still exist in the area for new development as well has properties fit for low cost redevelopment which is located within an Opportunity Zone (see below for more information).

 

Batesburg-Leesville Industrial Park

The Batesburg-Leesville Industrial Park is 175 acres located inside the town limits. Purchased in 1999 by the County of Lexington, the Town of Batesburg-Leesville and Lexington County began a joint venture to develop this into an industrial park. In 2015, the industrial park saw over $3,500,000 in infrastructure improvements. The park has water, sewer, roadway, lighting and landscaping infrastructure and is available to perspective businesses.

Currently, the Batesburg-Leesville Industrial Park is home to Fisher Tank Company. Construction began in fall 2020 on a 24 acre site for C.R. Batesburg Business District

The Batesburg business district is located on the western side of Batesburg-Leesville and offers a mix of retail, restaurants, and financial institutions.

Leesville Business District

The Leesville business district is located on the eastern side of Batesburg-Leesville and offers a mix of retail, restaurants, and financial institutions.

OPPORTUNITY ZONE
