Members of the Town of Batesburg-Leesville Public Services Department are the ones who quietly make sure the Town runs – and looks – its best every day.
The department plays a key role in the Town's visibility – without its members being particularly visible themselves. You’re certain to spot them from time to time — collecting limbs/leaves or decorating the Town for Christmas — but many of the tasks that fall under the department’s responsibility are accomplished quietly and without fanfare.
The Public Services Department performs duties related to street maintenance, residential solid waste collection, and the yard debris collection. On a daily basis, you can find staff installing street signs, filling potholes, cleaning roadway gutters, street sweeping, cutting grass and maintaining sidewalks.
