The Town of Batesburg-Leesville invites applications for the position of Dispatcher I/Police Jailer. This vital role is the heartbeat of our operations — ensuring effective emergency communications while also maintaining the safety and security of our detention facility. This position is responsible for handling emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching police and public safety services, and monitoring communication systems. At the same time, you’ll oversee the security of our jail, conduct routine inmate checks, log activity, and ensure that safety standards are upheld.
