Any person responsible for the ownership or operation of a business in the Town of Batesburg-Leesville, who is engaged or intending to engage in any calling, business, occupation or profession, is required to pay an annual license tax for the privilege of doing business and obtain a business license. This includes those businesses or professionals located outside the Town of Batesburg-Leesville who conduct business within the municipal limits of Batesburg-Leesville.
If you plan to establish a new business in the Town of Batesburg-Leesville, or have a change in ownership, you will first need to submit a completed Zoning Permit Application. After zoning compliance is verified, the next step will be a Fire/Safety Inspection conducted by the Fire Marshall. Once approval has been given to proceed, a business license can be obtained.

All required South Carolina Department of Labor, License and Regulation licensed contractors must purchase a vehicle sticker for each vehicle performing work at job sites. The cost of contractor vehicle stickers is $5.00 per vehicle.
Just a friendly reminder that renewals are due no later than April 30 in order to avoid penalty. After May 1st a 5% penalty per month and increasing by 5% each additional month will be assessed.
