The Detective Division of the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department supports the agency’s Patrol Division by conducting investigations of reported criminal activity, supervising crime scenes, conducting interviews, and preparing case files that are required for the prosecution of crimes. This division is comprised of two plain clothes Detectives who works primarily during normal business hours and early evening hours, however, are “on call” for immediate response in support of the Patrol Division should a significant crime occur after hours, as needed.
